The region’s top property event has been given a new expanded format with awards for the top industry leaders.

The annual Thames Valley Property Forum, which has grown into a landmark event in property circles, will this year become TVPropFest, an all-day festival based on four key themes of walks, talks, awards and music.

The traditional speakers and panel debates will still form part of the day but a choice of carefully planned walks, live music and an awards dinner at which former home secretary, Alan Johnson, will be speaker, will create a new format, aimed at celebrating the region’s achievements, informing debate and enabling connections to be made.

The region’s best leaders and networkers will be in for recognition under plans, still being formulated, to reward the top Thames Valley property personalities at the dinner.

Organiser, UK Property Forums, publishers of the Thames Tap, says the new concept has emerged from the success of the Oxfordshire Property Festival which had its inaugural event for industry professionals in April.

Managing director, Matthew Battle said: “Since 2004, Thames Valley Property Forum has established itself as the premier property conference in the region.

“But after our success in Oxfordshire, we were keen to bring the best elements of that to really take the Thames Valley Property Forum to a new level by creating an event which encourages greater participation from the delegates.

“Having Alan Johnson as keynote speaker is also very exciting. He was a significant member of the Government under both Tony Blair and Gordon Brown but he started his working life in the Thames Valley – as a postman in Slough and Burnham Beeches.

“And the new format will give us the chance to recognise the people who have made this region so successful.”

As ever, key stakeholders in the region will be among the line up of 30-plus speakers, panelist and guests. That includes representatives from some of the biggest development sites and experts from important sectors including retail and office markets, smart cities and garden towns along with workplace specialists and entrepreneurs.

TvPropFest is on September 13, 2018 at the Green Park Conference Centre. Delegates can attend the whole day or choose between the walks and talks during the daytime or dining/awards and music in the evening.
